As an owner or resident of Beach Club Town Homes, what should I know about the Community?
- Who do I call if there is a water leak in my yard?
- The lawns/turf in the community are watered by an extension irrigation system. There are irrigation heads surrounding all of the grass plots in front of the homes generally at the corners of the grassy areas and they are also located throughout the community behind the homes and around the common areas in order to water all of the common areas in the community.
- Each home has a water meter located in the front lawn.
- How do I know whether the leak is City water or the irrigation system?
- City Water Department
- If there is water pooling over or around the City Water Meter and if water appears to be running downhill from the area of the Water Meter, contact the City’s Utilities Department.
- Be advised that if the leak is originating from the City side of the meter, it is the City’s responsibility. But, if it is originating from the home side of the meter, the owner will be responsible.
- During winter/cold weather months, if you notice ice forming at the street end of your grass plot or on the grass plot, contact the City Utilities Department as there is a definite leak that needs to be repaired.
- Community Irrigation System
- The Irrigation System is only active during the good weather months – generally March through September and possibly into October. When NOT in use, the system turned off and water is drained from the system.
- During the cold weather months, if you believe there is a leak, it is likely coming from the City water system.
- During the months during which the irrigation system is active, if you see water running from an irrigation head, contact the property management company right away. [NOTE: The HOA pays for the water in the irrigation system so it is important that any active leaks from the irrigation system are fixed right away.]
- Who provides the Utilities?
